Bazaar Berlin: The stage is set for individual and sustainable products from around the world

• More than 400 exhibitors from around 60 countries display exceptional gifts
• New halls, entrances and bargain ticket prices
• Bazaar Berlin takes place from 18 to 22 November 2015

Berlin, 5 October 2015 – Featuring new halls, impressive entrances and bargain ticket prices, Bazaar Berlin is certain to be even more fun this year. From 18 to 22 November 2015 this is a shopping opportunity on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds that no one can afford to miss, for that is when Bazaar Berlin, the consumer exhibition of beautiful things and sustainable products, will be taking place. For the first time access to the grounds is also from the main north entrance on Masurenallee, directly adjacent to Halls 18, 17 and 16. Here, as well as in other halls on the Berlin exhibition grounds, more than 400 exhibitors from 60 countries will be showcasing their quality products once again.

Over the five days of the fair some 40,000 visitors from Germany and abroad are expected to attend. Well in time for Christmas they will be able to purchase gifts for themselves and others amid the unique international atmosphere of Bazaar Berlin. This year the organisers Messe Berlin are offering tickets at even more favourable prices. Thus, on Wednesday and Thursday starting at 3 p.m. a happy hour ticket will cost only 7 euros. On Friday “two for one“ tickets can be bought as of 3 p.m. These let two people visit the show for the price of one ticket (12.50 euros). On Saturday and Sunday children up to the age of 14 accompanied by an adult will be admitted free of charge.

Regular tickets purchased from Wednesday to Saturday either online or at the ticket office will remain valid for a second visit on any other day after 4 p.m. Ample parking and easy public transport links round off this service for visitors to the fair.

Exotic shopping mall and marketplace of cultures

A glance at the halls confirms that there is something for everyone at this event. Visitors can discover, look around, marvel and naturally buy products in five themed sections just as if they were at a real bazaar. Sections include the World Market with exotic goods and typical locally made handicrafts from around the world, Art + Style, featuring fashion items with a personal touch, jewellery and accessoires, as well as Natural Living with a wide variety of health products. If visitors follow the beat of drums they will find themselves in the hall entitled Living Africa, and in the Winter at home section visitors can enjoy a pre-Christmas atmosphere.

Fair Trade Market featuring fair trade fashion

Following the successful launch of the Fair Trade Market at last year’s event the 2015 consumer exhibition will be taking the idea even further. Besides fair trade fashion, for the first time there will also be specific information on fair trade textiles. Consumers, trade visitors and retailers can find out about the fair trade collections of numerous suppliers, how the Textiles Alliance came into being, and about the certification of textiles.

Schools Programme – a school trip with a difference

Around the world in only a few hours – that is a school trip that school classes can experience if they decide to take a Schools Programme trip to Bazaar Berlin between 18 and 20 November. Children and young people can find out about the origins and stories behind typical local goods and the people to do with these products. They can also learn more about social responsibility, sustainable production, fair partnerships and cooperating with one another. At the same time they can test their own language skills.

About Bazaar Berlin

Every year in November around 40,000 visitors come to the Berlin Exhibition Grounds to purchase exotic articles from around the world, either to keep or to give away as gifts.
