Bazaar Berlin is back!

International consumer exhibition for handicrafts, designer articles, natural goods and fair trade products – Bazaar Berlin is taking place from 3 to 7 November 2021 on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds – Online tickets are available from 20 September 2021

Be it spectacular jewellery from Mexico, warm winter pullovers from Mongolian yak wool, unique furniture items and accessoires from Morocco, Turkey and Indonesia, handmade pashmina shawls and cloth from India, or unusual Christmas decorations – at Bazaar Berlin 2021 the focus is once more on handicrafts, designer articles, natural goods and fair trade products. From 3 to 7 November, the international consumer exhibition for beautiful and sustainable articles from around the world is finally opening its doors again. “Bazaar Berlin combines everything that belongs under one roof: ideas for sustainable products, creativity at regional and international level, as well as passion and enthusiasm for unique and special things. At the bazaar on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds visitors can buy products they probably will not find elsewhere“, says Esther Piehl, project manager for Bazaar Berlin.

“Bazaar Berlin is our colourful and special department store in the shadow of the Berlin Radio Tower. This is where you can find exotic articles from around the world with unique stories to tell. And so we are particularly looking forward in November to Bazaar Berlin and to finally doing what we know best, namely hosting exhibitors, partners and visitors from all parts of the world, including Germany, Brandenburg and of course Berlin“, says Karel Heijs, director of Life Sciences at Messe Berlin.

Following last year’s break due to the pandemic, Bazaar Berlin is finally back in November 2021. Halls 18, 20 and the Palais am Funkturm await 220 exhibitors from 29 countries. “This year, visitors can look forward to a wide and extensive range of products again. For those in search of something special to give their loved ones at Christmas, this is where to find it“, of that Esther Piehl is sure. “The safety and health of our visitors and exhibitors have the utmost priority. Due to travel restrictions currently still in force, unfortunately not every exhibitor and partner from Asia, Africa and overseas can be with us in Berlin“, says Esther Piehl.

By far the safest Bazaar Berlin

The safety and health of all exhibitors, partners and visitors have the utmost priority. In accordance with the Berlin authorities’ latest SARS-CoV-2 Infection Control Directive and in coordination with the relevant public health authority, Messe Berlin has established a comprehensive safety and hygiene concept. This concept, which will be implemented at Bazaar Berlin, is based on the following principles: hygiene, distancing, ventilation and contact tracing. Specifically, this means that tickets to Bazaar Berlin 2021 are non-transferable. In order to attend, visitors must comply with the so-called “3G” rule and supply proof that they have been vaccinated, or have recovered or have tested negative within the 24 hours prior to their visit. Detailed information on the safety and hygiene concept as well as admission requirements can be found online here.

About BAZAAR BERLIN

From 3 to 7 November 2021, Bazaar Berlin is being held for the 59th time on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds. This year, due to the pandemic, Bazaar Berlin is taking place on a slightly smaller scale. In 2019, at the five themed sections under the headings World Market, Fair & Social, Natural Living, Art & Style and Winter at Home, around 500 exhibitors from more than 60 countries presented quality handicrafts, typical regional specialities, fashion with a personal touch, jewellery, accessoires, eco-products, fair trade goods, natural goods and many other items.

For Bazaar Berlin, combining good business with social responsibility is an important aspect. Since it was launched in 1962 as ‘Partners for Progress’ in support of development policy aims, it regularly promotes programmes supporting fair trade goods that are produced sustainably and under ethically fair conditions.
